Will give it one my try. Hubby and I and 1 other couple on a Sunday about 515pm. parking lot very dark, but bright bright lighting inside, no ambiance at all. waitress friendly and seat us quickly stating any questions we should ask, she did her best, food came quickly and we were please with the food, that said… the entire staff, owner, cooks, 2 waitresses, sat at a table playing on their phones, not appealing. the carpets need to be vacuumed, the lazy suzanne with sauces etc was tacky, most items not labeled and dry sauce residue on the outside. window sill dusty. windows to biz driver were so fingerprinted up you could barely see out. I’ll give the food an A, but atmosphere, appeal, and cleanlness C-, a little effort goes a long way and can really help the business.
My first time was disappointing. The restaurant looked run-down. The tables & chairs were not matching & the place was not sanitary. Our table was sticky even though it was wiped off. Pho condiment was not complete. Now, the food was less then appetizing. We ordered the beef pho and a vermicelli salad. The pho was so plain, plus there was no condiments to help fix the flavor so we had to eat an expensive flavorless pho. The vermicelli noodle was ok. The one I got was with chicken but the chicken was so brunt the dish mostly tasted of char. The only thing we did enjoy was the mango bubble tea which used real fruit. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I can make pho & vermicelli noodle salad better at home. Don’t waste your money at this restaurant.
Went on a Wednesday night, busy but not boisterous. They do a brisk takeout business as well. I had the #16 noodle bowl with pork, shrimp, and egg roll. Next time I’ll leave the egg roll out, a bit too greasy of a contrast with the rest in the bowl. The server was patient and friendly. They like to be asked questions which was a plus. I had the noodle bowl, a Tsing Tao, and with $3 tip it was $18. Not cheap but everything was fresh including the shrimp. I added photos of the menu so you can see the prices. I wanted to try the papaya salad but the appetizers are very generous for just one diner. They don’t have chicken nuggets, so leave the kids at home, please, unless they’re open to this kind if food. I didn’t see any high chairs, I hope it stays that way. The atmosphere is a bit anemic but you’re going for the food not to soak up the ambiance. You’ll go back for the same reason, too.
Wonderful authentic Vietnamese. Had my first Vietnamese food in Minneapolis. Loved it. So I was thrilled to find Pho VN in Sheboygan. The food is fantastic. Fresh ingredients. Spring rolls with large shrimp and vegetables. The (BUN-MI) noodle dishes are large with fresh vegetables and choice of meat. The (PHO) noodle soups are also large with fresh vegetables and choice of meat. The bubble tea comes in 10 flavors and are refreshing. We tried the mango and the avocado. I hope all in the area will try this restaurant so it will be here in Sheboygan for a long time.
YOU GOTTA GO. Recently had dinner at Pho VN. The Beef Pho was delicious. The broth was extremely flavorful. Basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts & beef very fresh & delicious. The Banh Mi sandwich was out of this world. Everything a traditional Banh Mi sandwich should be. Fresh buttery baguette stuffed with (spicy/pickled?) fresh veggies, lean meat (pork & beef in our case) with just enough of a peanut/tahini flavored sauce & fresh herbs. The only thing that would make this dining experience better would be to ditch the fluorescent lighting & get a little more ambiance & atmosphere going. Delivery would be an awesome service as well.
Do This One. Excellent food, good staff (nice, polite, attentive, knowledgeable), seems to be authentic. Building is not impressive and does not fit the theme, but it is a clean and nice place to eat. I have dined there twice and had carryout once. Positive experience each time.
Great Lunch Menu. I am a Saigon-born Vietnamese living in Chicago; my husband and I always seek out Vietnamese cuisine wherever we travel. While recently visiting Kohler we were delighted to discover PhoVN and decided to check it out for lunch. We were not disappointed with 2 of our favorite items: Pho Ga (chicken and rice noodle soup with fresh herbs) was excellent with rich broth and tender shredded chicken. The Banh Mi (Vietnamese sub sandwich with grilled beef and spicy vegetables) was one of the best we’ve had. We ended our meal with a signature cup of Vietnamese coffee. We’ve eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants and can say that the Pho from PhoVN is as delicious as what we get in our favorite Chicago restaurants. We’ll definitely be coming back to PhoVN when we return to the Kohler/Sheboygan area.
