Great Family Place!. Since moving to Sheboygan I’ve been looking for a good place for steak, and this does the trick! I like to bring the whole family.
Classic Wisconsin. Its a supper club. Looks like they setup their own meat (age/cut).The place – The bar area is serviceable and the drinks are more than fair. Good beer on tap. The restaurant is too country dated for me. But, I like the outside of the building and nearby buildings. Food – Relish tray fresh. Salad fresh, but the blue cheese was too tame. Potatoes were done properly.Steak – Prime rib was done perfectly Great cut of meat. Good seasoning mix except over salted. Porterhouse – a little too thinly cut but came even with the tail. Again, a little too much salt on it before it got to the table.Service – Timely and not overbearing. Friendly. Servers at the bar very nice.If they lighten up on the salt I’ll like it much better. Worth a second try to see if it was a one time thing because it was reasonably priced.
Best steak I have EVER had. I actually heard about this restaurant from a co-worker about 6 months ago, who raved and raved about it. I made a mental note that I’d have to go sometime with my fiance, but since it’s an hour away from us, we’ve chosen to go to places that were closer to us. Yesterday was my 30th birthday and I decided I’d like to go there, partly because of the fact that they seem to have very fresh steaks and my fiance is a huge steak lover. We got there when they opened on Friday, which is at 3:30pm for drinks. Dinner is served at 4:00, although we ended up being served before then. We actually walked in the door at 3:20 and there were already about 20 people there in the bar area. I’d expect if you’re going there later in the evening, you’ll have to wait a bit. We don’t like the Friday/Saturday night crowds, so we usually dine early. We sit down at the bar. I was sort of familiar with the process after reading reviews, but asked for a rundown. You can order your drinks at the bar and look over a menu. When you’re ready to order, stand your menu up and a server will come around to take your order. When they’re ready to seat you, they’ll call the name you give them. Go around the corner to the register and they’ll give you a table number. When you sit down, your salads are already on the table with the bread basket and relish tray (pickles, peppers, carrots, olives, green onions, etc…).The place is actually a lot bigger than we thought it would be and they did a good job of scattering people, although it never got busy while we were there. Our table location was perfect for us. The salad was a nice size (not too big) and they had three dressing choices on the table, all of which were really tasty. The bread was also delicious and there were four different kinds to choose from.I ordered the Petite Sirloin Tip (Rare) and Grilled Scallops. It’s a 6oz sirloin and 3 nice sized grilled scallops with a garlic pesto butter. My fiance ordered the large T-Bone (Medium), which I believe was around 18oz? We both got baked potatoes as our side. There’s also the choice of steamed vegetables, fries, or another kind of potato. Food arrived pretty much right after I finished my salad, so it was great timing. Steaks were perfectly cooked and omg…. SO SO delicious. Perfectly seasoned, tender, juicy. This was the kind of juicy that wasn’t floating around in a pile of juices, but you could feel it in every bite. Not a single bite was chewy. It was… incredible. I’m not really much of a steak person because most restaurants have steaks that are flavorless, dried up, and chewy. This place makes steak the way you’d imagine it in your dreams. The fiance agreed it was the best steak he’s ever had. The scallops were perfectly cooked and tender, also seasoned just perfect. I didn’t have to add a bit of salt to any of it (except the baked potato). Baked potatoes were a bit on the small side, but was enough for me. I ended up giving half of mine to my fiance to finish – his potato was quite small. The whole process of ordering, being seated, and served was really cool in my opinion. I know some people don’t like how it’s done, but I really did. We love sitting at the bar before we eat, so this gave us the perfect opportunity. And boy do they make their drinks strong. We were both buzzed after one drink, even after we ate. We didn’t dare have more than that since we had to drive an hour back home. The service was also really awesome. Everyone was so friendly, quick, and efficient. We will definitely be back to Schwarz’s Supper Club. Many times. It’s worth the drive and worth the price. Awesome food, awesome service. We were saying that it’s a damn good thing they’re not 5 minutes away from us because we’d be there way too much!
This place is amazing! Down home Wisconsin atmosphere. Steaks are delicious. Drinks and bartenders are great.
Sub par. The food at Schwarz’s is just not all that good. I don’t like the decor nor the way orders are taken. Just not a great dining experience all around. I don’t recommend this place.
A strange place. Great food especially steak and perch. But you give your order at the bar and wait for a table. When the food is ready — not before — you are taken to a table. It all seems to work as the crowded bar demonstrates. But it is strange to a first timer.
Get treated like cattle. Sit at the bar, wait hours for a table, eat and get out. efficient for the restaurant. not for me. Steak was average
