What happened?. Went there for lunch like I usually do and usually I received good fast service. This week something happened, I think they have new staff but service was extremely slow. I had to take my food in a carry out package and eat it at work later. Hope this changes because it is a good place to eat. I will try again to see what happens.17 Jul, 2014This lunch selection is phenomenal. Just the right size for lunch and taste is wonderful!

Love, love, love!. My cousin introduced me to their Musamon curry (I always get chicken) when I was still a student at SPASH. I was skeptical at first, but it’s been my go-to dish any time I come back home and can sneak out for dinner. It’s a rich red curry and the coconut flavor is perfect with the spices, vegetables, and peanuts. I prefer mine extra spicy! I also love that the flavor is consistent each time I order it. I’ve had many red and musamon curries from Minneapolis to Madison, and no dish has ever come close to this one from Green Tea. I highly recommend it! This is definitely my second favorite place to stop by besides my parents’ home. I’m glad this place is still up and running! Their prices are super cheap too, and I love that I can get this curry as a lunch special for cheap! 🙂

Best Asian Restaurant in a hour radius (at least). My boyfriend and I love eating here and travel for over an hour and a half to do so. Other restaurants with Asian cuisine do not even come close in taste and quality. The staff is always friendly and attentive as well. We recommend eating here for those of you who are tired of Americanized Asian food and the lame buffet restaurants who try to compete with their bland food.

I LOVE the Basil Strip Bean Chicken. It is delicious; I order it every time. The decor is kind of dated, but it’s clean and the staff is attentive. Two thumbs up!!

Lack of Creativity. So… I’m conflicted about Green Tea. I am glad that they offer a diverse selection of Asian cuisine (not just Americanized Chinese food), but they keep the SAME SAUCES for a lot of dishes. If it comes with sauce and it’s not curry, it’s either white sauce, brown sauce, sweet & sour, or sticky/sweet/spicy sauce like in General Tso’s.Their Orange, General Tso’s, and Sesame Chicken, Imperial Shrimp, Crispy Chicken w/ Walnut all use the same sauce (there are probably more). I really love the tomato sauce usually served with Imperial Shrimp… but I may as well have ordered any of those other dishes with shrimp for all it mattered. Oh, and the Orange Chicken comes with gigantic chunks of orange peels. Not thin, edible strips of zest… but deep into the whites of the rind. Gross.I’ve always wanted to try genuine Ma Po Tofu… but it’s just tofu and vegetables in the brown sauce here. It was very disheartening and I felt ripped off.Their fried rice is really strange, as well. It’s extremely yellow and flavorless, unlike the more natural light brown stuff most other places have. Their chicken is also kind of a mystery meat. It’s not chunks or slices of fresh chicken… but rather thin, distorted, shriveled, and strange-tasting. I’m surprised I could even identify it. Their shrimp is also extremely flavorless, like they boiled them in water and overcooked them. Otherwise, I really love their egg rolls, their curries, and their General Tso’s tofu, Lemongrass Chicken, and Beef w/ Onion & Mushroom. Their Crab Rangoon isn’t as sweet as other places, but it’s also really good. The food is also ready really fast. They say 10 minutes over the phone, but it has always been ready in 6 minutes or less.I’m certain there are a few people who disagree with me, but please note that this review isn’t just based on one or two negative experiences. I’ve ordered here a lot and have tried many things multiple times; my reviews reflect the consistent problems I have.

Pretty good. I walked in and ordered takeout, and it was super-fast! I was hoping to find my favorite noodle dish, Pad Kee Mao, but it was not on the menu. Instead I tried a crispy noodle dish. There was a nice variety of veggies and the fried tofu was awesome. I think this is the kind of restaurant where you can find something you really like and it will rock your world. Next time I plan on trying the Pad See Ew.

Curry is to die for. They make a really good Red Curry, I have only had it with tofu, more than once and it was delicious. The price is good and the food is even better.
