I can admit that I haven’t always been keen on this bar, but today was more than the last straw. Judging by what other patrons have communicated to me the manager, Elizabeth is not the kindest person you might encounter, and today was no exception, which has brought me to write this review.Today I was invited by a friend out for a drink, and not 60 seconds after walking into the bar I was greeted with absolute rudeness, and negativity, and baseless allegations for which she had no right to accuse me of. I have never caused an ounce of trouble at Guu’s for any reason so for her to belittle me in front of other patrons was embarrassing to say the least, and personally I think for Guu’s to employ such a negative person is a disservice to their own business, not just because they lost my business, but the scene that she created had a couple of my own friends saying that they would not be coming back to Guu’s If I had to guess this was also the thought of a few of the 20 or so patrons who did not pay to see her negativity either. I am not sure what might have been on her mind today, but in my opinion I believe Elizabeth has singled me out solely because of the color of my skin. Over the years I have experienced anecdotal evidence from Elizabeth’s actions to suggest this. The word racist is not something that I throw around lightly, and sometimes it is hard to identify, but that is the vibe that personally I have got from my dealings with this woman. I will continue to share my negative experience with other people in Stevens Point, because although I might not directly have any issue with any other bartender at Guu’s, I believe personally Elizabeth is a reflection on the Guu’s establishment itself. No patron deserves to be treated the way that I was, and I don’t believe I was the first either.
Best location for food and drink downtown!. The menu at Guu’s is not to long but not to short. It has just the right amount to not overwhelm you. And everything is great! From the salads to the sandwiches to the burgers to the appetizers to the daily specials and everything in between. Guu’s also always has over 30 different kinds of beer on tap plus a large selection of bottled beer as well. I eat here often and do not see that changing in the future. Favorite menu item: Guu Burger – Double meat, double cheese and all of the rest of the fixings with a side of waffle fries.

Good stuff Guu’s!. I dined a Guu’s recently and was not disappointed. To begin, they have a huge selection of top notch beers on draft. My sandwich came hot, neatly presented, and was exactly as described in the menu. The service was spot-on. The waitress was appropriately friendly and attentive, no stilted script or gushy chirpy nonsense. The place was clean and organized. They have their act together.
I had the pulled pork sandwich and had some coleslaw on the side but I threw it on my sandwich because that’s how you do it. Delicious!!! Cheese curds are really good and I hear the fish fry is good too. Great beer selection on tap.
Good. Standard American sandwich fare that’s always done well. Never had a bad experience at Guu’s
One of my personal favorites. Every time I go to Guu’s I tell myself I am going to try something new. 9 out of 10 times I order the Turkey & Artichoke Sandwich. It’s amazing. The rest of their food is delicious as well, but that sandwich is top notch. Top off the order with criss cut fries and a side of bistro sauce. Absolute perfection.
