Got into town late, and wanted a traditional Friday Fish Fry. Our hotel was kind enough to suggest something close by. We arrived 20 minutes before closing; there were a few folks still dining. Our waitress, Ginger seemed less than thrilled with our presence. She was abrupt, unfriendly, and seemed downright impatient. We ordered promptly. My salad was sub par, bagged lettuce with just a sad tomato as a garnish. We were not offered any bread, there was no coleslaw served. Out of the three pieces of perch one was fried beyond recognition, one was ok, and the third tasted off. We were not offered dessert, and had to hunt her down for our bill. She didn’t thank us or ask how our meal was. Oh, and the ketchup tasted so bad that I didn’t even eat my fries. And I love ketchup! Very disappointed, as one of my favorite things about visiting Wisconsin is a fish fry.
