Drive by. We had a bad experience years ago with Papa Murphy’s and decided to give them a try again recently. With coupons we went over to the Stevens Point Main Street location only to find it closed for renovations. No mention of this on their website.After renovations were done we tried it again. We ordered a Tuscan thin crust pizza. While waiting we noticed that it looked as if the prep counter had not been wiped down in quite awhile, certainly not between orders and they weren’t overly busy. Our pizza was very salty, too heavy on the feta, sparse on the mozzarella. The thin crust was just okay. Even with a coupon the pizza was about the same quality as a frozen pizza in the same price range, possibly not as good as some.Considering you are the one baking it and your time is worth something it is no value in quality over a frozen pizza. We will not be back.
Mixed Feelings. We’ve been looking for pizza to love in the Greater Point area without a lot of success. The first time we went, we had excellent service, the counter guy helped us find the perfect pizza, and we really enjoyed it. Then last night we went back. A different man was behind the counter and instead of trying to help us, just said they wouldn’t give us the exact same pizza we ordered last time and loved. I was so looking forward to it, that we left empty handed. Pretty disappointing when employees don’t make the customer right. Thankfully Subway is just down the street, and the kid that waited on us was very nice and friendly and a great sub maker.
