I have been there a few times now and at least 2 of the times I had to get up and leave because the service inside is awful. We sat at our table for a good 15 min and no one ever came. We had tried to find someone to help us and no one was to be found they are more worried about the customers eating outside. The food is ok but as far as service not good I’ve never had to leave a restaurant more than once for bad service.
I loved their combination fajitas – Best I ever had. Service was fair / OK but overall I would definitely be back.
Best Mexican Food in Sun Prairie!. Awesome guacamole and sangria. The salsa is excellent – made with fresh cilantro. Portions are very generous. I got the Special Dinner and didn’t realize it was two full plates of food! I loved the chile relleno, taco, tostada – everything was really good and prepared with fresh ingredients. Previously, I had the enchiladas ranchero and that was very good too. Service is fast and efficient.
Food was ok, but not the beast Mexican food, the service was good .
Love the White salsa!! Also try the Enchilada Rancheras!
Good value, good flavor. Dined on a Tuesday early afternoon (1:30pm). Immediate seating. Free chips and salsa as well as another dipping sauce (maybe a chipotle ranch?) that we laughed about and then ate every drop. Lunch specials very well priced ($4.50-$6.99). San Jose burrito (chicken and chorizo) was tasty, well marinated chicken, slight kick. Don’t usually like spanish rice (usually too dry) but this was flavorful and moist. Dining partner had a beef enchilada, chalupa (more like a tostada) and quesadilla (cheese was DELICIOUS). Overall more flavorful than La Tolteca, and a welcome addition to the Sun Prairie dining options. Also offers free delivery in town.
Awful!! Never Return. The place says that it is authentic mexican food. Authentic from a can. I had the shrimp with white sauce, no shrimp only fake, white sauce for sure came out of a can. My husband had a burrito that had the worst beans that I have ever tasted., tamale that was so thick you could barely cut it,. Dont go here if you want authentic mexican. Pablo’s Taco’s in Marshall has the real deal for authentic mexican food.
