The menu had salsa between its plastic pages, as if it was doing double duty as a placemat. The refried beans ran like water, the enchilada sauce tasted like Ragu and honestly my meal did not taste homemade, anyone remember Swanson TV dinners? Sorry to say not even good enough. The service was very good though. So I’m giving the place a 2 because of that only. I won’t go back.
NO Complaints…. We eat here about 9-10 times a year…I have no complaints. I’ve never experienced the bad service others complain about. The food is good, reasonable and there are nightly drink specials, we can have a meal and a few cocktails without going broke. I love the chips and salsa, carnitas/steak tacos, chili rellenos, combination platters, Mexican Specialties…etc…all very good, served hot. In the winter it can be a little cool in the restaurant, so I wear a sweater, in the summer we sit outside…often a Mariachi band on the weekends. That said it’s a very casual taqueria…if you are expecting fine dining or 4 star service, you may want to look further…if you want a good meal, fair price, stick around. It is what it is…and it works.(I’m also the kind of person who will approach the host/hostess before walking out)
Not Just Terrible Service…No Service. We went to the restaurant on Friday evening around 6:30 and were promptly seated by the hostess. We were seated in the back area and were told a waiter would be right with us. After waiting 10-15 minutes with no service (no drinks, no chips, no waiter) my husband and I got up and left. Did I mention there were only 5ish occupied tables in the whole restaurant? During the 15 minutes we sat our table a waiter came to the table behind us 3 separate times to see how they were doing. Strange experience, terrible customer service!
