Consistently Inconsistent – Terrible Service. Consistently inconsistent! My wife and I love authentic Mexican food and this restaurant often does that very well. However, it also often badly misses with poor service and inconsistent servings. Tonight we had a combination of poor servive and inconsistent food. Our waiter had no desire to even be there and announced it when our group arrived. I guess we should have known that was a bad omen. We had a group of 10. Getting enough salsa to go with the excellent chips was impossible. When the food came…part of our group was served and then the waiter started serving another group. Everyone went oooohhhhh! when faitas came out for some in our party…but 15 minuted later they still had not received soft shells to eat it with. Finally my wife and my food came out after the others in our group were almost done. We both ordered the same dish but got totally different meals! Mine was not even what was ordered. This is not our first negative experience at this restaurant. Not reccomended!
Our favorite place in the Twin Ports. My wife and I came upon Guadalajara by accident. We were pleasantly surprised. Wait staff is friendly, the menu is extensive, large portions, and very reasonably priced. Lindo has nothing on this place. Great food! Be sure to try the white cheese sauce with your chips and salsa!
My Daughter and I were craving tomales so we stopped here:(. They weren’t like we expected. They were not meat rolled in corn, but had cheese wiz like stuff with beans, hamburger and some pork??? The chillie relenos was?? My daughter had a virgin pia colada, which was good. My margarita on the rocks was from a cheap mix. Won’t go back.
I’ve been to many mexican restaurants across the USA and 3 countries and this restaurant has lousy food by faaaar. If you want authentic, stay clear. I originally ordered chilaquiles in spanish but the waitress told me they don’t make them like they do in Mexico. I decided to order the chicken tacos instead and they were the blandest, most flavorless thing you can conceive. My husband wasn’t impressed with the combo he ordered either.
Excellent enchilladas !. Their salsa is excellent and not from a jar. Love it. Yummy food and the perfect margaritta !
Great food, great service!. Our son and his beautiful new bride wanted to share their favorite restaurant with all of the out of town family members on their wedding weekend. Guadalajara bent over backwards to accommodate all 30 of us. We were a little nervous that the food quality would suffer because of the large group, but we shouldn’t have been. The food was fabulous! Great prices and plenty of food! There is something seriously amazing about their cheese….. A bowl of their queso is a MUST!! The service was the best! They made serving a crowd of 30 look easy. Fun decor too…. I highly recommend Guads for dinner or for birthdays or other large get-togethers.
Awesome place and awesome people!. First, I don’t understand some of the negative reviews. Except, yes, if you add items to something listed on the menu, you WILL get charged…just like ANY other restaurant. This is one of our usual places to eat at least once a week and we have NEVER been disappointed, NEVER received burnt food or have NEVER had bland food. Try the Molcajetas, you won’t be disappointed. Something in them for everyone! And enough for an Army! Recommend the Pollo Jalisco – YUMOr the nachos fajitas. Or enchiladas with mole’ sauce. How can you go wrong with the common fajitas of any kind…not bland!And the people, Juan the owner and primary chef – GREATRebecca, main server is one awesome personAnd her son and daughter that serve and her daughter’s boyfriend…All great people, warm and inviting. Nos encanta Guadalajara y veremos pronto!
