Super Disappointed!. I heard that the Emperor’s Kitchen was under new management. I hoped someone would breathe a little life into the Brookfield location. Sad that the Delafield location is closed, but Brookfield won’t be far behind given my experience today.First of all, the place has half the tables it used to have, looks deserted and there were literally 2 customers there when I came to pick up my take-out order that I phoned ahead. It took a half hour of me waiting for two entrees before I got impatient and requested someone find out when it would be available. It took 40 minutes to get what I now realize tastes like the food from China Buffet down the road. It’s not the same quality, not the same anything. Since when do you not include a courtesy carton of white rice? That’s like standard Chinese tradition. The General Tsao’s chicken looked like it was breaded clam strips and the texture was wierd, no flavor at all. The pan fried noodles with pork..completely tasteless! There was no explanation for the delay, no apologies. Lights dim to the point of thinking the place was closed though the doors were open. I am sad to write such a scathing review, but this is the sad truth. New management…not good. I don’t live close to the restaurant and when the urge to eat a good Chinese meal hits, I immediately crave Emperor’s kitchen. Not anymore.

Baaaadddd. No plates, no food in the buffet, baaaddd. Will not go there again. Waste of time.
Love this place!!!! They accommodate gluten free needs, rare for a Chinese restaurant.
