This is what erv ended up doing to Mandy this morning. I used to love going to Grotto’s, my bf would get a 12 piece & I’d get the crispy chicken sandwich. He used to say they were the best he’d ever had… super spicy (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside) chicken wings for only $5.50. Now I think there almost $7 and there either overcooked or undercooked every time we go. They also used to have the BEST crispy chicken sandwich, seriously the best for only $3. But now it’s just an o.k. sandwich usually the sandwich is slopped together and just barely warm because they don’t time it with the wings right. And it seems like they don’t change there oil in the deep fryer that often either. Overall is just gone downhill over the past few years to the point that I don’t even like to go there anymore. On a positive note they finally take credit/debit cards now!
30 minute cheesburger. If you have 30 minutes to wait for a cheesburger may be ok. I gave up and went somewhere else.
Down hill. Worst time ever. We were told an hour for delivery they didn’t get there for an hour and a half and that’s after calling them. We asked for extra crispy they didn’t even cook them. the dough was raw and there was raw c heese. If you get panzerottis delivered open up the package and verify that they actually cook them before you pay the driver and he leaves. Called and they offered me a $5 credit or I can wait another hour for new ones and return the disgusting doughy blobs. We’re going to be waiting to order from them for a long time hopefully new management.
First time here. I tried the ponza rotta with sausage. There was lots of cheese and sausage in this thing. Filled me up for 6$ and that’s tough to do. I will be a regular here, that’s for sure.
Moved to Waukesha and was excited to try this place out. Picke up a pizza and garlic bread on a Friday night and it was super busy! I thought it was going to be great but it wasn’t. Everything tastes like butter! Now I like butter but this was ridiculous! My husband felt the same way. I ate half a piece of pizza and couldn’t eat any more. Garlic bread was just ok. Won’t be going back.
I just moved into the area and jimmys grotto is just down the road. i was so impressed with the amount of food i got for six dollars. i got a large helping of perfecty cooked fries. i also got the double cheeseburger thinking that since it was so cheap that it would be small. to my surprise it was a huge burger with a generous helping of the toppings i asked for. I also got a large cup of coffee for only 75 cents and it was very fresh. no burnt taste like other places in town. all in all i was extremely satisfied with everything and i will be telling all my friends to go here for lunch.
OK…. Everyone says the ponzarotta is good so I tried it… I’d say this – the crust is good (great even) the rest of it tastes like a crappy homemade pizza. Glad I tried one, but one is all I’ll ever need.
