Pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. They have a tasty variety of BBQ sauces too. Place is nothing fancy, but the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. We’ll be back!

Life Changing Experience :). My life changing experience occurred when I turned off the highway and pulled up this tiny BBQ shack. Pulling up to the window I was greeted by polite and friendly staff. Although staff attitude does not affect the food, it does affect the experience and its always nice to be greeted by friendly and upbeat staff.Next let me discuss the food. The BBQ I had today left me amazed and wanting more. The meat was everything I expected and so much more. It was moist and contained a wonderful smoked flavor. Mixing that meat with the in house BBQ sauce made the food spectacular. In addition I bought sides of slaw, potato salad, and corn bread which all equally amazed me. It is nice to find BBQ shop that can make delicious meats and great sides as well.If you read this review this far youre seriously thinking about trying this BBQ. Do yourself a favor and just do it. Believe me you will thank yourself I promise. Just maybe the experience will have triggered so much positive emotion that you will go on here and write another post to document this amazing food seeking journey.

The Definitive Pats Review. I have been to Pats a number of times, we live not too far from it. I have found 3 truths about Pats that any customer should know before going in. 1. They run out of stuff all the time, dont have your heart set on eating one thing when you go there… have a backup plan or two. (They have a bad reputation for this) 2. Depending on who is working the front of house, the service can be very good or really bad. 3. The food is not that consistent, they seem to have good days and bad days with food. The first time I went there I was impressed with the service, the owner talked with us a lot, and our server (a younger white kid) was on top of our orders… however the food was not that good. We had the Spare Ribs and they were underdone, which in ribs means they were tough and very difficult to eat. We left thoroughly not impressed with the food. A few weeks later we gave them another chance and went back. 2 Younger girls (I think they might be the owners daughters??) were working front of house and the service was TERRIBLE!!!! They were painfully slow, easily confused by customers and orders coming out of the kitchen, they ignored customers, and generally didnt seem to thrilled to work. With perhaps 15-20 people in the restaurant they ground the place down into confused gridlock, with orders coming out of the kitchen wrong, customers waiting a long time to get food, and God forbid you wanted a drink!! We ordered brisket and baby back ribs, the Ribs were good but not great, but the brisket was wonderful. The food was good enough to bring us back for a third time, the owner was working front of house and the service was very good and friendly, we wanted to try the pulled pork (which they had run out of) so we order baby back ribs and brisket again. This time the brisket was dry and not very good, but the ribs were excellent! This past weekend we went back for a 4th time. Again we wanted to try the pulled pork… which again they had run out of. The 2 younger girls were working front of house and again they were TERRIBLE!!!! It really is painful to watch them work…. slow, uninterested, constantly confused by orders… I dont think I have seen 2 people less qualified to work in a restaurant. Orders were slow out of the kitchen, people walked out without ordering food because they couldn’t get anyone to even acknowledge they existed… it truly was painful to watch. But we stuck with it and got our food, Ribs tips and Brisket… both were good but not great. Pats Rib Place has problems, the menu is too big, they have bad service, inconsistent food, and often run out of food… these issues are giving Pats a bad reputation that I HOPE TO GOD they realize and do something about. As for us we will not be going back until we hear things have turned about. In my opinion, Id rather drive the extra 10 minutes to LDs BBQ in Big Bend, the BBQ is better and the service is always great.

I can tell you that I’ve been coming to this place for three years and I’ve always been treated well! I would recommend this place to anyone. Great food, good people.

Wost service. The food is decent on a good day, nothing great. But the service is terrible, if you want a good dining in experience I suggest going else-where.

I really don’t know what to say about this restaurant. The food is excellent. Large portions at a great price. However, I can never get to order what I want. Brisket! It’s always sold out regardless of the time. I even ordered take out for pick up several hours later. I picked up the order but when I got home and opened the bag up, it was pulled pork instead of the brisket that I ordered. Pats I’m done with you.
