I discovered this jewel late in December. I ordered the half pastrami sandwich with a cup of Dan’s chicken and dumpling soup. The pastrami was lean and tender and flavorful and the rye was perfect. The chicken dumpling soup was wonderful. The only problem was I should have ordered a bowl of soup and a full sandwich. The deli is a must visit.

Incredible!. Great staff! Great food! What a winning combination. Lots of desserts but the incredible cupcakes were especially a hit. Thank you to the entire staff at Rochester Deli for delivering amazing desserts to our event. You have lifelong customers in our family!

Hot & Cold. I was one of the first customers when the owner, Dan would actually talk to his customers. After some time, when he became a bit more successful he no longer acknowledged our visits to his deli. I referred friends for a wedding cake and I guess because they didn’t look or dress like the doctor and lawyer that they were he was snotty and short with them so they left and ordered their wedding cake and another bakery for their dinner reception at the Pfister for just over 300 of their closest friends (LOL Dan)! We spread the word ten fold when he started and he got some very good catering accounts and business from our referrals. Since those good ol’ days he has become so fabulously famous and narcissistic that he has forgotten to get to know his customer! If it weren’t for his wife, Laura, he would be no where! And BTW Dan, your reuben sandwich is chewy!

Ketchup on a chicago dog?. I went in there just to try it once and got a chicago dog. They put ketchup on it and non-neon relish. Needless to say – I won’t be back.

Nothing Special. I ordered the Rueben and a bowl of soup. For $12, I felt it was rather expensive for what I was served. Although the food was tasty enough, I have made better Ruebens at home. Something was just off because nothing really shined on this sandwich period, and I noticed the cheese was skimpy and tasted rather bland. Chicken noodle soup was just okay

Horrific Customer Service. Our office gets lunches several times a week, got delivery 2 weeks ago, couldn’t have been happier! Today, a co-worker tried to use an Entertainment Book coupon and we were given nothing but static from the OWNER no less! I would think if you put a coupon in a book, with no delivery restrictions on the coupons use, you may want to honor it, or perhaps, not participate in coupon books. Then we were told how BUSY they were and how they MIGHT not deliver to our office location. I explained that they just delivered to us. I was told again how BUSY they were and just because they delivered to us once does not mean they would be able to again. HUH?? Anyway, this local business sure won’t be getting any of our local money in the future.
