Not anything like it used to be.. Saturday, September 27th we experienced the Wausau landmark restaurant and found it not to be as note-worthy as in the past.Is Pat Baumer no longer associated with the restaurant?5 people in party seated at a four top with a chair in the aisle. Very uncomfortable with trays of food floating over your head. A variety of larger tables were available at time.Potato soup was overly spicy, and brought to the attention of the server, with no response, later overheard server telling customers it was potato with peppers soup.Ordered Saturday night special which was Ribs and shrimp. What I received was three 26-30 count butterflied and breaded frozen shrimp found in most low scale eateries. The ribs were 5 bones of the short end of the rack, previously cooked and reheated. The garlic mashed potatoes were lacking in flavor. Presentation was terrible, with ribs on dinner plate with shrimp and sauce on a rectangular carryout type container next to the shrimp and the mashed potatoes on a bread plate atop the ribs.My wife had the salmon and sweet potato fries. She said it tasted good presentation looked like something served in a diner. Do we no longer garnish a plates as found in better establishments? This was not the dinner we expierenced in the past.

Not Good. Wow, was in town and looking for breakfast. Went in the back door to the deli and this place was dirty. Decided to order anyway, as we were in the hurry. Read the ingredients labels on some bread while we waited to order at the counter – the cracked wheat bread was full of unpronounceable ingredients. We got basic breakfasts – pancakes, hash browns, etc.One at a time: The pancakes were tasteless, gummy, and served without syrup – I asked for some and got little plastic containers of something gloppy and brown that wasn’t real maple syrup. The hash browns were not browned very much and tasted of excess salt and artificial butter flavor. The sausage patty was very salty and strangely hot dog-like.The eggs were nicely cooked. The eggs, hash browns, and sausage breakfast oddly came without toast.I didn’t eat very much – a waste of calories and money.I write this not to trash this establishment, but to contribute a tiny bit of a push for better standards in restaurants in general, and to give this place a clue in particular.
Ho hum. Bragged and raved about propelled me to try. mediocre staff assitance and somewhat blah to typical choices and a bit spendy for what you recieved this propells me to say stop in if your hungry, it is ok.
Not Bad, Nothing Special. We’ve been to 2510 twice. Both times the food was all right but nothing special. My companion ordered a sandwich without onions and got onions. Their Southern Comfort old fashioned (sweet) are very good! The cinnamon stick makes the drink.
Very good – nice place. Small group of us was led to a table, nice relaxed atmosphere, walked past some fireplaces and the bakery, tasty aromas. Started off with appetizers of Hickory Encrusted Tenderloin Tips and some Cheese Curds – all very tasty. Main course was the excellent prime rib melt [hold the onions!] – which was tender and very good. Service was prompt and friendly. Recommend this place if in the area.
