Prompt lunch service. Had Italian fries which are breadsticks with 5 lbs of cheese. Had pizza. Both were good. Of course after the breadsticks we could not finish all pizza. Yummy food, large portions!
The Wausau Mine company is Wisconsin food at its finest. Like in all Wisconsin establishments, the prices are very low and the portion ms are large, so the way that you can differentiate one restaurant from another, other than food type, is quality. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and my favorite thing is on the menu is the hot beef au jus sandwich. They set themselves apart by using pot roast meat rather than shredded, low quality, steak like lost places do. They offer it smothered with mozzarella and mushrooms by default, but allow you to tweak it to your liking.Their main attraction here is their pizza fries. For those of you who are not from Wisconsin, these are a sauceless cheese pizza, cut into strips, with the marinara sauce served on the side for dipping. The ones here are amazing and the cheese is measured in pounds. They are a must try.

To be experienced. Traveling into a cavernous past the aroma of fish fry and garlic bread satisfies! A real unique family atmosphere. Well worth the trip. the expanded menu has something for everyone but the fish fry is very good!
Very good pizza. Wife and i went there a few weeks ago, had the golden nuggets and the house pizza, was very good on both ends, good service, very good food, only was disappointing that the mushrooms where canned and not fresh, told the server that and she mentioned that they did offer them just forgot to mention it…oh well sa la ve…still good pizza and service…would go back again
Terrible! Ordered the tenderloin medium and it came well done. It was so charred after my girlfriend tried a bite she said it tasted like cigarettes. After they did nothing about the bad steak we tried to salvage the experience with dessert and 10 minutes later they came back and said the dessert we ordered was no longer a menu item. Should have listened when our hotel receptionist told us not to go to Wausau Mine Co for dinner.
Do not order prime rib!. We had dinner at this restaurant Saturday night–the service was fine–but the prime rib was lousy. The cuts we got–three out of four of us ordered this special–were one third fat. We complained to the owner and he gave us $2 off on each order–his explanation was that we got larger than advertised pieces because he knew the beef was fatty!! ?? The other person in our party had lasagna–it was average. The beer selection was good..so stick to a sandwich and have a beer if you choose to go here
