Underwhelmed. Nice looking restaurant too bad the fun ends there. Drinks had no alcohol or watered down. House red Wine was awful. Way high priced drinks. Food well frozen pizza tastes better. Hamburger was good but not for 12.fries were pilled high a sign of a bad restaurant imo .
I had a fish fry, it was great, I’ll come back. Good selection of beers.
FYI . . . .. Emailed the manager regarding an issue. I received a very nasty, very curt response. Will not be returning.
Mixed. Food was ok. Nothing to rave about. Drinks were good but overpriced, as were the other menu items we ordered. Have visited a couple of times and still not sure of the overall feel of this restaurant. Something missing.
A real server’s opinion? Underwhelmed. I’ve served in fast and fine dining establishments for years and Firefly was extremely underwhelming. I am not a super picky person but I know good service from bad; especially since I’ve been a server for years and an avid foodie. We were a group of 5 on a Wednesday night. They were not busy at the time I found the following issues:-The server didn’t even take our dinner orders until after our appetizers arrived-When the food was brought out, only 4 of the 5 plates came. Mine did not which I had to wait a good 3-5 min for and it was soup and an appetizer-They never came to check on us after our food arrived-They never came to re-fill our drinks. Mine was empty for a good 15-20 minutes before we left-When the server came by after we were done eating, she took eat plate individually to go be boxed. Finally after the third trip back to the table she asked if we wanted dessert. We responded no and she then left a fourth time to go get the check…..uhhh maybe should’ve asked before boxing everything?-Overall, the food wasn’t that amazing for the price you’re paying. One of our members got the pork chop/veggies/potatoes; the chop was thin and tough. My soup was good. The others in our group liked their food or chose not to comment (pasta/sliders). -SLOW service. For an establishment that has been around a while and making renovations to become more sleek and hip, they really need to kick it up a notch. Timid servers who aren’t doing their jobs correctly aren’t going to cut it. Just being straight up.
Friday night fish fry. $15 for a 3 piece fish fry is unacceptable! I was there a couple of months ago and the fish fry was good. $13 for all you can eat was a good value. My most recent experience was on 3/29/13 and was informed that there was no longer a all you can eat fish fry, but our server informed me that they were buying the best cod available, and that the dinner included 3 to 4 large pieces. Talk about bending the truth!! I am a chef by trade and I know good food. What I received for dinner was 3 pieces of IQF (individually quick frozen) cod loins. When I was told I was getting the best cod available I was expecting a fresh product not frozen. Especially for the price.I will not be back and will not encourage anyone to dine at here.
A Place to Relax with Family &Friends. I love this place, you can take family and friends and enjoy a great meal or indulge in a appetizer and dessert! The food is wonderful, you won’t be disappointed; the manager is dedicated to making sure you enjoy your experience and it shows through the friendly staff. Give this place a try, you will go back!
