Last chance. I’d been here about two years ago and swore I’d never go back but did a couple of months ago. It was ok except for the large plies of tempura put inside and on top of the rolls making them very greasy and mushy. So tonight I tried to place an order for carry out and requested no crunch/tempura. They took my order and then called me back saying they couldn’t not make the rolls with no tempura. I asked why they couldn’t just simply leave it out and the guy told me there wouldn’t be enough product inside the roll to roll it. So basically they are saying I’m paying $14 for greasy fried breading wrapped in rice. I cancelled my order and called Japanica who was more than happy to make rolls with no greasy fried tempura batter. I won’t be back for real now. I highly recommend Japanica, their sushi is delicious.
Good sushi at a reasonable price. After numerous visits to Ginza, I find this to be a great place for sushi. Portions are good and the prices are average. They have many interesting rolls to choose from, and the staff is fantastic. Just waiting for a chance to visit their new place in Brown Deer.
I have been going to Ginza since they have opened. I really have enjoyed it, but recently have been disappointed. It seems like their Salmon has gone down in quality. It’s very fatty with little meat. Also, the past two times in a row I’ve gotten a bone in the white tuna (that was in a roll). I’ve spit my food out, and don’t continue to eat any more of the roll in fear of another bone. I really enjoy the Fan the Flame roll! I stick to things with little to no sauce. The pepper tuna roll is very good and cheap!! They have a great lunch deal- two rolls for $8 with soup! I also order sashimi, and enjoy white tuna, albacore tuna, and smoked salmon. So delicious!!! Overall I love this place, but I have been staying away from regular salmon. They also offer delivery!
