Skip it. I was getting ready to put a bad reveiw on here but what can i say that everyone else hasnt terrible food and even the tap beer tasted watery
My boyfriend and I sat at the bar for about 2 1/2 hours as we waited for our hotel reservations to come through. We ordered the crab dip and calamari. Neither of them were worth the price. Calamari was rubbery and not deep fried crispy. The crab dip was like eating a brick of cream cheese. Our bar service was not the best either. I asked for a drink in the menu that was blended. He brings it on the rocks, when I ask for it blended he tries to make me feel stupid about it when the menu clearly says it is a blended drink. We came back later that night to give it one more shot. We were seated at a table and nothing further was said to us for 10 minutes. I watched the gm walk around the restaurant not even interacting with customers or seeing how things were. Poor management
Love the island feel. Where else in Milwaukee shall one find fish fry for $11 where one can mix and match fried fish, baked fish, grilled fish and blackened fish? Every plate is MADE TO ORDER–no fish basking under the red lamp. Pandamonium to the taste buds! This is like a vacation to the islands on a Friday. Peter was delicious … oops … the food is delicious and Peter keeps the table clean and the glasses full. The iguana staff really gives one the sense they are here to accommodate. It was well worth the trip from Racine. Come see for yourself! 9 out 10.
We almost didn’t come here due to the scathing reviews I read on the way to the restaurant but I’m glad we came anyway. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable, we never had to search for her or wait got her to gone to our table. The food was delicious and reasonably priced as we could have gone to red lobster and spent way more money. I had coconut shrimp and it was perfect, the island rice was little sweet for my taste, but something nice to try nonetheless. Give this place a try, I’m happy we did and we will definitely be coming back soon.
The Friday fish fry is fantastic! And the drinks arn’t half bad either!
Yuck. Stopped in last friday, this place sucks. slow service, rude management. he had the nerve to get an attitude with me when i POLITELY pointed out to him that i had been waiting almost 30 minutes for my food. i understand every place has bad days but jeeze. save your money, go to mcdonalds.
Seems all the food was very good, especially the island pizza with mango habenero sauce. You would not believe the island rice…incredible! Great service from all staff and fun atmosphere. Drinks initially seem pricey but when they get to your table you will see that the size of the drink is more like 2.5 drinks from a regular bar. A must stop while in Milwaukee. (located near the zoo)
