Dinner. Fail !! Food was tasteless, service was poor, how do you run out of food on a friday fish fry night!? Felt creeped out by the waitress watching and waiting for us to sign our bill. Will never be back here to eat!!
Great meal!. We tried this restaurant on APR 13 and were very impressed with the food & service. There weren’t many people there on a rainy Sunday at 5:30 pm, so we had no problem getting a table. The guy waiting on tables was very friendly and efficient and seemed to be wearing a lot of hats that day. He mentioned that earlier he had been repainting some of the interior walls (colorful). The real highlight of our visit was the Jerk Pork Platter and the Costa Rican Curry Platter. Very tasty and good sized portions! They each included a mound of rice, a delicious veggie mix (green beans, broccoli, carrots and red pepper in a seasoned sauce), and a few plantains sprinkled with toasted coconut. The flavor of the pork was fantastic and the shrimp & chicken in the other platter were also very good. We definitely plan to make a return visit and have already recommended it to others.
Excellent Fish Fry. We went here this past Friday to see if the Fish Fry was the same as the old Painted Parrot. It was definitely better than we remembered. We had to wait over half an hour for a table which wasn’t bad considering that it’s the middle of Lent. They still serve the Fish Fry family style in the trash can lid, which we love. Our server was very friendly. We can’t wait to go back.
