Came here at 6pm on a Friday and we were able to be seated immediately, but the line up of take out bags ready for pickup let me know itd be a slow roll through the meal. The ambiance is ok – we were seated in the back dining room which must be used for parties as there were tables and chairs set off to the side, visible cleaning supplies, and a separate restroom. My nine year old ordered the tandoori shrimp and demolished it – while she isnt too terribly discerning she did speak pretty highly of it! My other kids werent able to order dosa – the server said they were too busy to accommodate dosa orders – which is equal parts understandable and frustrating (its already a two hour meal but the kids REALLY like dosa). Samosas were delicious – spicy and a true medium per our server. Tikka masala was on point. Service and attention fell off as the meal progressed and we waited a long while for the check. It was a good meal, but my loyalty lies with Amber Indian in Middleton.
I get a kick out of real Indians that aren’t impressed with the food. I’ve never been to India but I was hooked after my first lunch buffet. It was fantastic. Lots of choices, very tasty, loved the mango ice cream. The goat, while full of gristleand bones was really tasty. I would highly recommend it for Americans not knowing what Indian food is supposed to taste like. There’s a few items to beware of like the donut thing soaked in yogurt sauce – not sure how anyone could like that thing? Otherwise, for lunch buffet, it’s great! Can’t comment on dinner.
