While this overall wasnt a terrible meal or experience, it was not far from getting there. The ribs were absolutely too tough to eat. They tasted good but couldnt gnaw through to get the meat off. We sat there for 15 minuets after finishing our meal, all our plates still on the table. When the server finally came back he asked about the ribs. In all fairness, he did offer something else but everyone was ready to go. We got a whopping 10% discount off our bill ($6.86) when it cost $26.99 for the rib combo. Kinda crummy.
Brisket Heaven. Brisket done right. We take our family here every summer when we hit the Dells. We get the big-azz trash can sampler. Amazing! One of my sons always orders extra brisket. They get very busy, and often there is a wait, but we know it’s going to be predictably delicious. Often our server isn’t the greatest, but we simply choose not to focus on that and instead focus on the quality food and delicious food. Very nice.
Great food; Great service. This is the second time we’ve been to a Famous Dave’s. The other time we did takeout from one in Seattle. This time we ate in.The server was very fast, accurate, and had a great sense of humor.Our meal was 100% awesome! Enough food for myself and my teenage daughter to split a meal. St. Louis style ribs, bbq chicken and 2 sides. YUMMM! Will definitely return to another one sometime!
Dave has good food and prices, but the server could not have been any slower.
Great food and atmosphere you have to go for their lunch specials
Ehhh. Ehh what can you say there is nothing really special about this restaurant, the service is way under par. I’ve been there twice both of these times my rib tips were under cooked. This is dissappointing when this restaurant specializes in barbecued food. Their wait staff seems quite aloof as well. If you decide to stop, set your standards low.
