We ate outside. The tables were flimsy which happens to be a pet peeve of mine. It detracts from the dining experience. The soup du jour was seafood chowder which was very tasty ($4). My husband said his tortilla crusted walleye was very good ($21). I ordered The Wall ($18) which is a Mexican lasagna made with zucchini instead of noodles. It was edible but I would not get it again. I don’t even know if I will eat the leftovers. There were a handful of seasonal food offerings on the drink menu. I wish the waitress had informed us before we ordered. The waitress was pleasant but not very knowledgeable. If I go back, I will try the meatloaf entree or sandwich.
Food was good, not great and portions were small. They had some interesting options. The parsnip and carrot fries were excellent. We went back to our hotel and ate some more, since we were all sill hungry. Had an issue with the server, and how he was handling refills. We didn’t really want our kids to get refill after refill but they kept filling it up without asking us or before it was even empty. When we got the bill it was an unexpected 12.50 extra on the bill. When we confronted him about that the end, he just stormed off. It was bizarre.
Good ambiance, nice server, but not much menu knowledge. The gilly goat was good if you mashed the garlic and mixed everything together yourselves otherwise it looks like an oily mess. Wife enjoyed red snapper although thought accompaniments were mishmash (pineapple with cauliflower) My steak, although flavorful, was ordered med rare and I received it med well. Dining with 2 children, I suffered through due to time restraints. Also had the tots everyone talks about and ours had at least a quarter cup of raw garlic just placed in bottom of dish. Horrible. Sent them back.
The food is amazing do order garlic tator tots n gilly goat . Must visit this place if you r visiting wis dells. Every time we order something new and they have never dissopointed us . If you r searching gud food n dont want to spoil your vacation do try this place
This restaurant deserves a 5. Great menu, high quality ingredients and excellent service. Split a salad and sandwich. Had a salad with shrimp and a shrimp BLT. Both were wonderful. Beautiful lunch on the patio. Very memorable.
Stopped at 11am and the place was slow with several staff working. The waitress helped us right away and we got our meal in a decent amount of time. The grilled chicken sandwich was burnt to a crisp on the outside and the driest chicken I’ve ever seen. It would’ve been a quick fix except the waitresses were in back visiting our entire meal and didn’t come out once to ask us how our meal was. They finally came out 5 mins after we were done eating to see how everything was.
Ahi tuna appetizer. Wonderful ahi tuna with great homemade sauces! We also shared salad with roasted beets….yummy!
