5 Star Service and Food. I ate at Ishnala Supper Club on July 5, 2014.Lisa was my server and I was seated immediately as a party of 1. My view was excellent from the 2nd level of the restaurant and Lisa was knowledgeable, older, and very attentive. The food is excellent. It is some of the best I’ve had and I’ve eaten at all the best steak houses in Milwaukee and many nationally. The food was served in good time, very hot, almost too hot to eat, but that’s not a complaint. The sweet potatoes were creamy and buttered. I had the crispy duck strips and a Tom Collins to start, both were excellent as they should be. The bread was served warm and there was even a mini cinnamon roll in the basket. Salad was just the right size and left plenty of room for the main course. I had the Filet with wine sauce and bleu cheese crumbles. It was cooked medium and perfectly done. The crust of the steak was a little crispy and just the way I like it. For dessert Lisa brought out a tray of excellent sweet options. I went with a cake wedge that had a vanilla cream flavor and a salted caramel drizzle that was unforgettable. This restaurant is so good I would easily recommend driving up there for a date from Milwaukee. The manager was constantly checking on guests and greeting everyone. They have a small bar below which has a great 180 degree view as well a main bar that has a epic view of Mirror Lake as well. There is an outdoor deck and small beach for children to kill time. The Ishnala has one of the best atmospheres in Wisconsin. I can not wait to go back. My tab was $85 – full steak dinner, Tom Collins, glass of 19 Crimes wine with dinner, dessert, and a great value. I left Lisa a $20 tip and was completely satisfied on all levels – I think you will enjoy it too.

Scenery is spectacular. Service was outstanding. Food was above average and so was the old fashion. Just a little pricy.
Best i’ve experienced. If you’re looking for an excellent meal, with an excellent view, and excellent staff, this is your place! Back in the woods, intimate, beautiful, old-fashioned, delicious. Have been returning with my wife and family for 30 years. Still nothing compares.
Hidden Treasure. Follow the signs here and be rewarded with a great supper club experience.On Mirror Lake, the setting makes the longish wait go by pleasantly. Sitting on the deck with a drink watching the ducks and boats while listening to the live band made for a relaxing prelude to dinner.We had cheese curds for an app. Delicious.These were followed by house salads. The salad was just OK. There were some brown-mush spots on some of the lettuce.We both had the prime rib au jus. Fabulous taste. Great cut.The lodge/resort feel inside was intimate. Live music played the entire time and fit perfectly with the setting.
I have loved this little, out of the way, place for many years. Every time I make it to The Dells, I eat here. The drive in to the restaurant is beautiful, the scenery out of the windows from inside is beautoful, yet they pale in comparison to how delicious the food is. I keep this as my little surprise for friends and they have not been disappointed yet. I brought friends all the way from AZ, and they talked about the place for days.
