This was a pretty neat experience that we all enjoyed. Loved the rear Deer mount on the wall near the restroom. I believe the family style buffet is a good idea. Every party receives enough for each person in your party and more upon request. The ribs weren’t great but I may be spoiled on ribs. The fried chicken was outstanding, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob & cole slaw were very good. We will visit Paul Bunyan’s again if I am ever in the area again. We were contemplating driving an hour away tonight just to eat here again but I’d like to try something new.

Came here for the breakfast buffet on the recommendation of co-workers. A full parking lot and a long line of people outside suggested that this was a good choice. The wait wasn’t bad as the place turns over fairly quickly. You enter (and exit) via the gift shop which includes a small counter that sells some food-to-go, including the sugar covered donuts. The donuts, as many others have mentioned, are very good. The rest of the breakfast buffet, however, isn’t quite as memorable, but decent nonetheless. Food is served family-style and is all-you-can-eat, provided that you first finish the bowl/plate, before another one is brought out. Dining on picnic tables continues the theme in this family friendly restaurant. Service was very pleasant and quick, given how busy this place was.
Only serves family style all you can eat regardless of signs or menu options. Went at 12:03PM on a Monday and after a 19 minute wait at our table that’s what we were told.
It is only all-you-can-eat after 330. The signs don’t say that. So buyer beware. Not worth it for the price and wish their advertising was more forthright. Won’t be back.
Fantastic, Fun Place!. I came here with a very large group for breakfast. They were very accommodating to us. The doughnuts were to die for. The people were super friendly and helpful. We will be back!!
Donuts. Such a cool experience. Just a typical breakfast, but the donuts are soooo good! always full when we leave. 🙂 Could go for bigger drinks, though.
