Absolutely fantastic pizza. To be honest, they have a full menu but I have never had anything but their pizza. Great crust, sauce, spices, and toppings. Two thumbs up!! Don’t be in a hurry, but it’s worth the wait!
So I thought I would give this place a try for pizza. Ummm-It’s just ok. I thought the pizza was rather flavorless. It was too much money and did take awhile to cook? mmm. Anyways something smelled really good in the restaurant-unfortunately it wasn’t the pizza. Sorry.
Best Pizza in Rapids. We discovered Portesi’s as a result of a review in the Milwaukee Journal. The pizza is excellent. It is one of our favorite pizza places of all time (especially now that Pizza Man in Milwaukee is out of commission). The right amount of cheese, good toppings and good spice in the sauce. Ask for the fresh mushrooms on your pizza. The crust is always excellent. The antipasto salad is also very good. The decor has that 70’s, but comfortable, feel to it. The bartenders and wait staff are fun and take good care of you. If you are near Wisconsin Rapids and looking for pizza – head for Portesi’s.
