Great fresh lunch. Wife and I had lunch there last week, some great bbq pork and chicken, good service and we did not have to eat again the rest of the day, pretty good food.
Bubba’s used to be good, now I guess they don’t have to be because people come anyways. The food was bland banquet type food. I ordered the salmon dinner. It had no caramelization, no seasoning. ‘Buttered red potatoes’were two small red over cooked red potatoes with no butter and no seasoning. The garlic bread was made with lard/butter spread and was yucky. My husband had the ‘pork chops’ that really were cured ham steak pieces, which would have been fine if that’s what he ordered but it was pretty false advertising. Service was lacking, he spent most of the time apologizing for what they didn’t have or were out of.
I have been to many bbq restaurants across the country. As soon as you walk in you know your in for a mediocre meal at best. Things haven’t changed there since the 1980’s. From the old office ceiling tile to the unfilled bottles of hot sauce, ketchup and bbq sauce that plague most tables. If you dine here you will have to hot swap some condiments from multiple empty tables to complete your meal. The bbq is just ok, but the side dishes is what makes the meal dissapointing. The coleslaw and potato salad taste like nothing. The lemonade appears fresh squeezed, and the sweet tea (just ok) both are served in mason jars which is quaint. All total, this is a restaurant you make the mistake of going to once, but not again.
Ordered a brisket dinner with sides of boiled potatoes and beans. The brisket was the driest toughest BBQ I ever had the misfortune of encountering. I soldiered through less than half the brisket before throwing my hands in frustration and leaving.
Woah, we had a horrible experience. Pork was NOT GOOD. Ribs were tough and fatty. The salad bar was great but the other food was super sub-par.
