Worth the stop. Food was very good. I had the pork adobo and my buddy had the pork chop. I started out with the elk carpaccio and it rocked. Bartender knew his stuff. Anybody who comes to Jackson should eat here. I would go back.
Took my wife there so she could get salmon. At 7:30 they were out of salmon. Meatloaf was good…mashed potatoes and sauted greens were poorly prepared. We will not return.
WHY?. I have been here 3 times. The service has always been really good. Our last trip was memorable only for our server, Todd. The oysters, while fresh, were not very good. They offered only cold water oysters, had no Gulf/Appalacacola/ warm water oysters…meaning overly salty and not much flavor besides that. The pork belly salad was atrocious. That pig died in vain. I would call it pork belly with vinegar slaw. The soup was a corn chowder, and it was not too bad. Just not much going on there. I also heard 3 different servers call it 3 different things (veloute, chowder, bisque). The scallops were just ok, as well. One had noticable grit. the sauce was good. the presentation was bad. brown on brown on green is not appetizing. Now the dessert was delicious. One of the best i’ve had in Jackson.
Great food. Scallops were fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly. Salmon was good too. Wonderful time. Will return again.
Sat at the bar. Seemed quieter in there too. Just Mom and I. Ordered a bottle of Pinot grigio, and three appetizers. Tuna tartar was awesome, calamari cooked perfectly (sauce needed doctoring with Tabasco), and mussels in lemon butter very good. I would definitely go back to try the entrees. Great experience and super bartender/waiter.
The food is always okay, not very special. Servers have a good attitude, nothing blow me away here.
Very nice evening. Excellent in all respects. Atmosphere fun and appropriately loud for a bistro. Service was attentive but not hovering. Food was just a delight. My duck confit was about the best I have ever experienced. Hope to return again.
