This is one of my favorite restaurants. We went last night and it was horrible. The food and the service were bad. We ordered from the ‘off season menu’. Fixes price for an appetizer and salad and entree. I got the roasted mushroom appetizer. Stringy mushrooms with bits of cooked tomatoe in a goat cheese soupy mess. It was followed by the risotto stuffed peppers. The salad greens took up most of the plate and the risotto was undercooked and bland. It took our server 25 minutes to get bread on the table and that was her most prompt delivery. It’s sad to have a favorite go up in flames.
Purely for asthetics sake, this place is cool. There is a place for the kids to play outside and indoor/ outdoor seating. Our service was slow, and the Roasted Beet Salad was horrific, however I enjoyed the rest of the meal. Basic Italian.
Excellent pizza (esp the Godfather). The appetizers were fantastic. Bruschetta was not your ordinary bruschetta. A full pod of roasted garlic, special garlic spread, pesto and chopped tomato. Great wood-fired pizza.
