Trying to find a restaurant which isn’t occupied by large tourist groups in Khiva with great quality in food could be tough, but Cafe Zarafshon was a nice dining option where food was decent and not overpriced.
I had a wonderful lunch here, and found the Uzbek food presented artistically as well as being delicious. Especially nice were the salads that precede the main course, and the fritters.
Delicate, tasty, and fulfilling food. Salads were fresh, the choice of breads great, and the main course well balanced. The highlight of our meal was the dimsum platter – spinach, pumpkin, and eggs – highly recommended.
We were part of a group for dinner. Very good pickled vegetables, excellent fresh fish and also fresh fruit. So far, the best of the bunch.
