Bomb Crater Bar is owned by a local Vietnamese couple, Tuan and Ngoc, with their Australian partners, Mark and Lesley. They came across this stunning riverside property and developed it in to a simple and rustic riverside bar. It is a great place to stop in for a cold drink or a snack on a cycling foray around the rural areas of Phong Nha, it is a great spot for a swim in the river or just to relax in a hammock or tubing on the river. The huge bamboo provide shade and a rustic asian ambiance.Details

It is a nice ride along the river to get there, but it is a neat little place, literally in a bomb crater. Swimming and hammocks for a leisurely afternoon.
Not much to this place but it has a real charm. Chilled vibe with great view of river. Chickens and chicks wandering the grounds only adds to atmosphere.
We grabbed a beer and a tube and watched the sunset. It was amazing being in the river and watching the sunset – a very unique experience.
Found this by accident driving along the old french highway. Made it a wonderful break on a hot day.
