We went there twice. The first time we had a lovely evening with good food and wine. Large portions. Share! The second time my husband started a very bad nosebleed soon after we ordered and the starter had just come. The staff could not have been more helpful, bringing paper towels and a bag to put the bloody ones in. He had to go back to the hotel and they would not charge us for the main courses and even put the wine we hadnt really touched back into the bottle. Thank you for your assistance that evening.

Bolognese. Very good. Meaty and fettuccine tastes from fresh, not dried.

Great place to go. Staff is warm and friendly. Really feels like a local secret. Chef Damon rocked it out for us. Great date location or just a nice place to eat.

Thank you John Stricklin and staff. Great food! Pizza was exceptional! Can’t wait to go back. On behalf of PAA mahalo! Reach, connect and engage!

Well done. Nice brick oven pizza and other items. Everything we had was excellent, as was the service. I would certainly return.

A heart a head and a good hand combines to make this place a smart treat for a weekday escape. Great pizza as well as major dishes.

An instant local favorite. SOMA finally has a truly local spot in 1st Street @ Folsoms Local Kitchen. Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and takeout, Local emphasizes local food and a community atmosphere. During the week lunch is quiet, but dinner and brunch buzz with excitement. Spotlighting a fusion of Mediterranean and American classics, the menu is filled with creative entrees, pizza, rotisserie, and more. Dessert is weak (stay away from the tiramisu), but brunch is particularly strong with original takes on American, French, and Swedish classics. Brunch even features more of their gourmet wood-fired pizzas. The atmosphere is a blend of modern architecture with homey touchestry sitting at the kitchen counter for a particularly intimate take on the restaurant. All in all, Local Kitchen is a local success.
