A truly real and enjoyable lounge!. If you consider yourself a true aficionado of lounging in a true lounge, a connoisseur of fine brandy, good wine, distilled spirits or a just a plain neat libation, and where you enjoy it, this place is for you. It is, in the most traditional of senses, with the wood finishes, subdued lighting, traditional motifs, art and architectural design and dcor, as well as the service and ambience, one of the most traditional, quaint and extraordinary old fashioned lounges in the country. Maxfield’s Piper artwork behind the bar not only adds to the flamboyance of the locale, but gives you somewhat of the sense of heightened euphoria of an age gone by, today! It’s not only the libation but the environs that make the sensation! Go for it!

Beautiful and inviting bar. Dissapointed in food (fries undercooked, cod sandwich not as described on menu) and gruff service. Worth visiting for a drink but eat elsewhere.

Sophisticated Fresh. I’m only going to comment on the bar and small plates since I didn’t actually have dinner…rather only a scotch and some of their Crab Nachos ($15). Four medium-sized fried wontons piled high with Dungeness Crab, scallions, avocado, and tomato and finished with drizzled sour cream. It was delicious and I was astounded at just how much crab could be piled onto a wonton! Not just small flakes of crab but big, meaty chunks of fresh crab! Grab yourself a bib…it was messy to eat and I embarrassed myself several times as the crispy wontons tended to break leaving me dropping chucks of crab everywhere. What appeared to be a small portion was more than filling and very satisfying for the price. Highly Recommended.
