Je voulais aller djeuner dans Soho. J’ai ouvert mon guide Lonely Planet et j’ai trouv Caf Gitane. Nous nous sommes installes sur la petite terrasse. Ma mre trouvait cela cher au dbut, mais aprs quelques jours, nous nous sommes aperues que le resto offrait un bon prix et une belle portion pour le petit djeuner. Mon bagel au saumon tait trs bon, mais je prfre nos bagels au ssame de Montral (plus dense et plus de saveur). Il tait servi avec un bon hummus. Ma mre a eu ses baguettes bien grilles. Elle tait ravie. Seul bmol, mon th l’hibiscus tait fade. Bref, il y a des plats pour tous les gots cet endroit.
I don’t know what it is about this place. I like it so much I go alone sometimes. It’s like a shabby/old school hidden gem of a cafe with amazing french Mediterranean style dishes. I think it was the first place ever to start the avo toast trend. It gets pretty packed around brunch time and it’s a pretty tight fit so it’s better to go with just one person, no reservations either. Fave dishes: avo toast, baked eggs, hummus tzazicki plate, couscous, sausage egg sandwich. satisfeednyc.com
