Tried this pizza on the last night of our stay in Soho/NYC as we unfortunately couldn’t be bothered heading out anywhere to eat that was too far (not used to the freezing cold temperatures NYC has & apparently the cold snap hasn’t even started!). So we opted to walk down the road & try this place out after seeing ok reviews on both here & yelp. 1st off – why is it that majority of the pizza places here has the word ‘famous’ in front of it? 2nd – pizza back home is just plain different (& not in a good way most cases)Back to the review – Took us a while to look at everything, seeing the pizzas, calzones etc out already made in the counter was a bit off putting (not knowing how fresh everything is) although the calzones did look quiet appetising. The pizzas not so much. Anyways, we decided to just order a whole 16 inch pepperoni pizza takeaway.Service is more on the slow side, we were standing there ready to order at least for what seemed like forever just waiting for the girl & guy to finish their conversation. Talk about customer first (or maybe this really isn’t an emphasis here)! Pizza took alot longer than expected considering we were there for almost 20mins. I thought pizzas took approx under 10mins to make? The pizza itself (once we finally got the hot box in our hands) we added chilli flakes to one side then hurried back to out hotel where it was warm. Pizza base was not too thin, not too thick. Still doughy in the middle but nice & crunchy on the bottom & crusts. The pizzza sauce base had lots of flavour, cheese was a good amount, pepperoni unfortunately wasn’t the best & more on the smaller side (I’ve had better pepperoni). Pizza overall was great & probably could’ve done without the pepperoni. Each bite was morish & had I not been watching my slowly but increasing waist (from this entire trip) I would’ve happily eaten more slices. I haven’t had many other pizza places to form my overall opinion about how good this place is compared to them but I was happy with it except the pepperoni. NY’s are very lucky to have pizzerias around almost every corner where slices of pizza are decent in taste & price.

Probably should’ve had a Sicilian pizza but I just got a ham and cheese calzone to go and it was AMAZING. Had half while hot, beautiful; finished it a few hours later, still pretty good. That drippy cheese….

This was my first pizza arriving in New York and let’s just say it was the best pizza I have ever had! The size of the pizza was huge and super cheesy – just like it should be. Seriously delicious! lapetitebobo.com
