Floating Mountain is a teahouse that offers over 40 types of specialty Chinese teas, served in traditional Chinese or Western style. Tea tasting and tea ceremonies are a part of the menu. Tea related handmade ceramic art pieces created by local and international contemporary artists are displayed in our gallery and are available for purchase. Floating Mountain conducts live music nights, poetry readings, movie screenings, various workshops, and more. We also host a daily free silent tea bowl ceremony that runs from 11am to 12pm, and all are welcome to join! Our serene quiet place is hidden on the second floor of 239 W72nd Street building in the Upper West Side, and is open daily from 11am to 9pm.
