- Red bell pepper, 1, sliced
- Green bell pepper, 1, sliced
- Light soy sauce, 3 tablespoons (45ml)
- Cornstarch, 2 tablespoons (30g)
- Sugar, 1 teaspoon (4g)
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (2g)
- Vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons (30ml)
- Oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons (30ml)
- Shaoxing wine, 2 tablespoons (30ml)
- Water, 1/2 cup (120ml)
Method
- Begin by slicing the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, the sugar, and black pepper. Add the chicken and marinate for at least 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C). Add the chicken and cook until browned. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté ginger, garlic, and onions until aromatic.
